PhD Candidate Nguyen Xuan Hieu Successfully Defends His Doctoral Dissertation at the Hue University Level

On March 11, 2026, the Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University, held the institutional-level doctoral dissertation defense for PhD candidate Nguyen Xuan Hieu, a member of the 2021 cohort in Biology (Code: 9420101). His dissertation, entitled “Biological Control of Aspergillus sp. Causing Black Mold Stem Rot in Peanut (Arachis hypogaea) in Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue Provinces,” was conducted under the academic supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy from the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University.

Hue University Institute of Biotechnology Holds Specialized Topic and Literature Review Evaluation for PhD Candidates

On May 21, 2026, the Office of Science, Training and International Cooperation, in collaboration with the Department of Applied Biology and Biotechnology, organized the evaluation of the doctoral candidate’s specialized topic entitled “Recombinant Enzymes and Their Applications” (Topic Code: CDTSSH-20) and the literature review essay entitled “Research on the Expression of Recombinant β-1,3-Glucanase in Microorganisms” for PhD candidate Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen.

Acceptance Evaluation of the Technology Process under the City-Level Science and Technology Project (Code: TTH.2021-KC.31)

On May 15, 2026, the Hue University Institute of Biotechnology conducted the acceptance evaluation of the technological process entitled “Propagation of Anoectochilus roxburghii through Tissue Culture Techniques,” developed under the city-level science and technology project: “Establishment of Cultivation Models and Development Orientation for Medicinal Plants, Including Anoectochilus roxburghii (Wall.) Lindl. and Stephania japonica, under Forest Canopies in the Buffer Zone of Bach Ma National Park Associated with Product Commercialization” (Project Code: TTH.2021-KC.31). The project is headed by M.Sc. Ho Thi Hoang Nhi, with the Hue University Institute of Biotechnology serving as the lead institution.

Hue University Conducts Phase I Acceptance Evaluation of an Applied Product under the Pilot Production Project (Code: DHH2025-15/DASXTN-06)

On May 15, 2026, the Hue University Institute of Biotechnology conducted the Phase I acceptance evaluation of the applied product under the Hue University pilot production project entitled “Pilot Production of In Vitro Propagated Adenosma indianum Seedlings” (Project Code: DHH2025-15/DASXTN-06). The project is headed by M.Sc. Pham Thi Diem Thi, with the Hue University Institute of Biotechnology serving as the host institution.
