On May 21, 2026, the Office of Science, Training and International Cooperation, in collaboration with the Department of Applied Biology and Biotechnology, organized the evaluation of the doctoral candidate’s specialized topic entitled “Recombinant Enzymes and Their Applications” (Topic Code: CDTSSH-20) and the literature review essay entitled “Research on the Expression of Recombinant β-1,3-Glucanase in Microorganisms” for PhD candidate Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen.

On April 24th, 2026, the Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University (HUIB) was pleased to welcome a group of 36 students with their instructor from the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University, participating in a career orientation activity at HUIB.

On March 13, 2026, Hue University held the doctoral dissertation defense for PhD candidate Dang Ngoc Sang, a member of Cohort 4 (2021 intake) in Biology (Code: 9420101). His dissertation, entitled “Production and Bioactivity Evaluation of Gypenosides from Cell Cultures of Gynostemma pentaphyllum (Thunb.) Makino,” was conducted under the training program of the Hue University Institute of Biotechnology. The research was supervised by Associate Professor Dr. Tran Quoc Dung of the University of Education, Hue University, and Dr. Hoang Tan Quang of the Hue University Institute of Biotechnology.
