On March 13, 2026, Hue University held the doctoral dissertation defense for PhD candidate Dang Ngoc Sang, a member of Cohort 4 (2021 intake) in Biology (Code: 9420101). His dissertation, entitled “Production and Bioactivity Evaluation of Gypenosides from Cell Cultures of Gynostemma pentaphyllum (Thunb.) Makino,” was conducted under the training program of the Hue University Institute of Biotechnology. The research was supervised by Associate Professor Dr. Tran Quoc Dung of the University of Education, Hue University, and Dr. Hoang Tan Quang of the Hue University Institute of Biotechnology.

On March 3rd, 2026, Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University organized a specialized workshop with the participation of ESCO VIETNAM CO., LTD., and scientists as well as research groups from the Institute. Attending the workshop were the Board of Directors, heads of offices, staff, and students at the Institute; and representatives from the company.

In response to the call from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Ministry of Education and Training, and in accordance with Joint Official Dispatch No. 1533/LT-CĐ-ĐHH dated October 6, 2025, issued by Hue University and its Trade Union, with the spirit of “mutual affection and support” and “the good leaves protect the torn ones,” the Director Board of the Institute of Biotechnology and the Executive Committee of the Institute’s Trade Union has organized a fundraising campaign to help people affected by Typhoon No. 10 (Bualoi) on October 15, 2025
