Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University Strengthens Doctoral Training through PhD Candidate Research Seminar Evaluation

       In line with its mission of training high-quality human resources, advancing scientific research, and promoting knowledge transfer in biotechnology for the sustainable development of the Central Highlands, Central Vietnam, and the country as a whole, the Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University organized a research seminar evaluation for a PhD candidate on December 11, 2025.  

       The evaluation was jointly organized by the Office of Science, Training and International Cooperation and the Department of Biology and Applied Biotechnology as part of the Institute’s responsibility for managing, supervising, and assuring the quality of postgraduate education. The seminar presentations evaluated were “Application of Molecular Markers in Plant Breeding” (Seminar Code: CDTSSH-02) and “Genetically Modified Organisms and Their Environmental Impacts” (Seminar Code: CDTSSH-04), presented by PhD candidate Nguyen Duy Cuong, a member of the 2023 doctoral cohort.  

       During the evaluation, PhD candidate Nguyen Duy Cuong presented the contents of both research seminars, demonstrating his ability to apply modern biotechnological approaches to address practical challenges in plant breeding. The Evaluation Committee commended the candidate’s dedication and research efforts while providing constructive comments and expert recommendations to further improve the seminar reports and guide the subsequent stages of his doctoral research.  

      The evaluation of PhD candidate research seminars is one of the Institute of Biotechnology’s key activities in postgraduate education. It contributes to enhancing research quality and reaffirming the Institute’s role and reputation within Hue University’s education and research system.
