On March 13, 2026, Hue University held the doctoral dissertation defense for PhD candidate Dang Ngoc Sang, a member of Cohort 4 (2021 intake) in Biology (Code: 9420101). His dissertation, entitled “Production and Bioactivity Evaluation of Gypenosides from Cell Cultures of Gynostemma pentaphyllum (Thunb.) Makino,” was conducted under the training program of the Hue University Institute of Biotechnology. The research was supervised by Associate Professor Dr. Tran Quoc Dung of the University of Education, Hue University, and Dr. Hoang Tan Quang of the Hue University Institute of Biotechnology.

On March 11, 2026, the Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University, held the institutional-level doctoral dissertation defense for PhD candidate Nguyen Xuan Hieu, a member of the 2021 cohort in Biology (Code: 9420101). His dissertation, entitled “Biological Control of Aspergillus sp. Causing Black Mold Stem Rot in Peanut (Arachis hypogaea) in Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue Provinces,” was conducted under the academic supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy from the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University.
