The evaluation on final report of Ministry research project, code: CT-2018-DHH-04

On February 24th 2021, Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University (HUIB) organized the Scientific Committee to evaluate the Ministry research project: “Development of antibody for prevention and treatment Vibrio sp. causing acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease in white-leg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei)”, code: CT-2018-DHH-04 was headed by MSc. Nguyen Van Khanh, HUIB was the implementation institution.

At the meeting, on behalf of the research team, MSc. Nguyen Van Khanh presented of the process, and key results of the project, such as: isolated, cloned and then sequenced PirA and PirB genes of Vibrio strains causing acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND) in shrimp, the comparing results between the nucleotides sequence of the PirA and PirB genes and sequence genes published on GenBank showed that the nucleotides sequences of the PirA and PirB genes are similar to the PirA and PirB genes of Vibrio parahaemolyticus K5 (KU556825.1) on GenBank; produced PirA and PirB recombinant antigens in the form of 6xHis_PirA and 6xHis_PirB fusion proteins in E.coli host cells; produced antibody product to prevent and treat AHPND in white shrimp with antibody titer >3.200; antibody product is highly effective in preventing and treating AHPND in white shrimp caused by Vibrio sp; published 01 domestic article, 01 international aricle, and 02 posters at national conference; supported to train 01 Master and 01 Bachelors; completed 01 PhD report. Beisdes, the research team also have applied products, such as: a production process of antibody products to prevent and treat AHPND in shrimp, and a process of using antibody products to prevent and treat AHPND in shrimp.

Members of the scientific evaluation council appreciated the results of project and commented on some modification (form errors, scientific terms, report structure …) and correction on the contents of final report.

Assoc.Prof. Truong Thi Hong Hai – Chairmain of the Scientific Committee agreed with the comments and assessments of the reviewers and members of the Scientific Committee, and suggested that the research team should correct the report.

The evaluation of research project: Passed.
