On December 18th 2020, Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University (HUIB) organized the Scientific Committee to evaluate the Institute of Biotechnology research project “Study on optimal growing conditions to create antler-type fruiting bodies of Ganoderma lucidum (Antler-type Ganoderma lucidum)”, code: VCNSH2019-01 was headed by Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Cuc, HUIB was the implementation institution.
At the meeting, on behalf of the research team, Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Cuc presented of the process, and key results of the project, such as: Ganoderma lucidum mycelium developed fastest on the substrate including composted sawdust mixed with 5% corn bran, 5% rice bran, 1% buffer, and 3% soybean meal, reached 22.40 cm after 30 days; under insufficient light condition (CT2), shape of Ganoderma lucidum changed to form of antler-type, but in limited air condition with light (CT3) and no light (CT4), Ganoderma lucidum produced antler-type fruiting bodies, had distinct colors and no spores, length of the antler-type in CT3 reached 33 cm and CT4 was 28 cm; in normal conditions, the dry yield of kidney-shaped fruiting bodies of Ganoderma lucidum was the highest (30.70 g/embryo), while the highest polysaccharide content was recorded in CT4 with 0.47 mg glucose/g water soluble crude polysaccharide. The research team published 01 article in Hue University Journal of Science, and the antler-type fruiting bodies of Ganoderma lucidum had quality with 5 kg.
Members of the scientific evaluation council highly appreciated the results of project and commented on some modification (form errors, scientific terms…) and correction on the contents of final report.
Assoc. Prof. Truong Thi Hong Hai – Chairmain of the Scientific Committee agreed with the comments and assessments of the reviewers and members of the Scientific Committee, and suggested that the research team should correct the report.
The evaluation of research project: Good.
