On March 12th 2020, Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University (HUIB) organized the Scientific Committee to evaluate the Hue University level research project “Identification of genes causing necrosis of the liver disease on white-leg shrimp by Vibrio in Phong Dien District, Thua Thien Hue Province”, code: DHH2018-15-12 was headed by MSc. Nguyen Van Khanh, HUIB was the implementation institution.
At the meeting, on behalf of the research team, MSc. Nguyen Van Khanh presented of the process, and key results of the project, such as: isolated and identified 05 Vibrio species carrying PirA and PirB toxic genes from Litopenaeus vannamei cultured in Phong Dien District, Thua Thien Hue Province; created successfully 02 E. coli TOP10 strains carrying pGEM/PirA and pGEM/PirB recombinant plasmids; sequencing of PirA and PirB toxic genes of 05 Vibrio species causing AHPND in Litopenaeus vannamei, their sequences are similar the PirA and PirB gene sequences of Vibrio parahaemolyticus V.03 (KU556825.1) on GenBank; published 01 article in Hue University Journal of Science and supported to train 02 biology students…
Members of the scientific evaluation council appreciated the results of project and commented on some modification (form errors, scientific terms, report structure …) and correction on the contents of final report.
Dr. Nguyen Duc Huy – Chairmain of the Scientific Committee agreed with the comments and assessments of the reviewers and members of the Scientific Committee, and suggested that the research team should correct the report.
