Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University had a meeting with Prof. Mary McNamara, Technological University Dublin, Ireland
On October 29th 2019, Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University (HUIB) had a meeting with Prof. Mary McNamara – Head of the Graduate Research School, Technological University Dublin, Ireland. Board of Director and staffs of HUIB attended in the meeting.
On behalf of the Institute, Dr. Nguyen Duc Huy – Deputy Director introduced the current training program and research interests as well as development strategies of HUIB. Prof. Mary McNamara exchanged on scholarship for Master and Doctoral program on Food Safety, Biotechnology and Doctoral program on organic agriculture at Technological University Dublin. Accordingly, students enroll in the PhD program in Vietnam will have opportunity to receive 1 year scholarship to conduct research in Ireland. The two sides had great discussion concerned topics, such as: research orientation of students after completing the study program in Ireland as well as possibility of potential cooperation and technology transfer in next time. The Board of Director has expressed gratitude and desired to continue the good cooperation in the future.
At the end, Prof. Mary McNamara visited laboratories of the Institute and had major discussion with researchers of HUIB.
