The evaluation on final report of Provincial-level project
On April 26th 2019, Department of Science and Technology of Thua Thien Hue province organized the Scientific Committee to evaluate the research project “Development the production process of silic Skeletonema costatum biomass in Thua Thien Hue province”, code: TTH.2016-KC.05 which was headed by Prof. Nguyen Thi Thu Lien, Institute of Biotechnology; Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University was the host and implementation institution.
At the meeting, on behalf of the research team, Prof. Nguyen Thi Thu Lien presented of the process, and key results of the project, such as: isolation thirty S. costatum; selection fifteen algal strains of high quality and good yield; development of S. costatum biomass in in vitro and in vivo; determination of the harvest conditions and preservation of S. costatum biomass; successfully building a pilot model of using S. costatum biomass as feed for Penaeus monodon.
Members of the Scientific Evaluation Committee appreciated the results of project, supplemented and commented on some modification and correction on the contents of research project.
On behalf of Scientific Evaluation Committee, MSc. Tran Quoc Thang agreed with the comments and assessments of two reviewers and members of the Scientific Committee, appreciated the research results of the project, efforts and dedication of the research team. This study has laid the solid foundation for further application research in the future to replicate the results of research and apply to production for socio-economic development of Thua Thien Hue province. MSc. Tran Quoc Thang also suggested that the Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University proposes a proposal to continue the research to serve the development of Thua Thien Hue province.
