Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University attended the Commemorative Meeting Vietnam Science and Technology Day 2020
In May 18th, 2020, Hue University held a meeting to celebrate Vietnam Science and Technology Day. The delegation of Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University (Institute) includes Assoc. Prof. Truong Thi Hong Hai, Director of the Institute; Head of Department of Science – Training and International Cooperation, scientists with achievements in science and technology attended the meeting.
Opening the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Quang Linh, President of Hue University overviewed the situation in science and technology of Hue University. After that, Assoc. Prof. Pham Khac Lieu made a general announcement about Hue University’s science and technology management activities in 2019-2020 period with achievements and limitations that need to be overcome.
The units and university members of Hue University had in-depth discussions to promote science and technology activities such as lessons learned in strengthening science and technology cooperation with localities, technology incubation and transfer activities, orientations to improve international publishing capacity….
The representative of the Institute of Biotechnology also gave a presentation on improving the efficiency of scientific and technological management activities in the unit under subjective and objective difficulties as well as some solutions has been implemented at the Institute.
Also in this meeting, Hue University rewarded three selected research teams for their outstanding achievements. It is honor that two scientists (MSc. Dang Thanh Long and MSc. Hoang Thi Ngoc Han) from the Institute was rewarded for their intellectual property registration products: “Manufacturing process biological products as complementary food in aquaculture” for the 2017-2019 period.
This event is meaningful to widely disseminate scientific and technological achievements and to encourage researchers and staffs working in science and technology to continue working, creating and achieving great achievements in the next stage.
