Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University, is collaborating on research with Research, Development and Training Center of Savannakhet University, Lao PDR

In order to strengthen cooperation in science, technology, and education between Vietnam and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic at the university level, in the first six months of 2025, Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University signed a cooperation agreement and initially implemented research contents for the project: “Community Watershed – based Agriculture and Fishery Development Project (CWAFD)”.

This project is a collaboration between the Institute and the Research Development and Training Center (RDTC) of Savannakhet University, Lao PDR. It will be implemented from 2025 to 2028 with the aim of surveying, assessing, and confirming needs, and providing training in water resource management, fisheries resource management, agricultural and aquatic product management and production, food processing, and farm business management. Both parties believe that active cooperation and meaningful activities will bring practical value to the communities participating in the project.

An online meeting of research team members between the Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University and the Research Development and Training Center (RDTC) of Savannakhet University, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, took place in early July 2025
