Conference of Officers and Employees of Institute of Biotechnology in the academic year 2016-2017

Attending the conference were Dr. Truong Quy Tung, Vice President of Hue University, Director of Institute of Biotechnology, Comrade Vo Thi Hong Vu, Chief of Trade Union Office of Hue University, along with the Institute’s leadership and all officials and contractors of the Institute.

On behalf of the Presidium, Mr. Huynh Van Chuong reported on a summary of the 2015-2016 school year and the Institute’s tasks and directions for the 2016-2017 school year. The Institute currently has 26 working staff including: 2 part-time officers, 4 short-term contract workers, 5 officers and 15 labor contracts, including: 2 Assoc. Dr.; 4 PhDs, 10 Masters, 5 Universities…
In the 2015-2016 school year, the Institute has accepted 1 project at Thua Thien Hue province and 3 projects at Hue University, in addition, many other projects at all levels are about to be accepted. Currently, the Institute is also chairing the implementation of 1 provincial project, 4 projects at Hue University and a number of other projects at other levels. Through the results of the conducted projects, the Institute has continued to carry out a pilot production project at Hue University to soon complete the algorithm process and bring the Institute’s research results to the market. Also in the last academic year, the Institute’s researchers have published 19 scientific articles, including 8 international publications, many nucleotide sequences have also been published on the GenBank (GenBank).
At the conference, Comrade Vo Thi Hong Vu spoke highly of the Institute’s achievements in the past school year and encouraged the spirit of the Institute’s officials and employees to overcome the difficult period to Complete assignments for the 2016-2017 school year.
