Isolation and selection Bacillus strains to inhibit Vibrio parahaemolyticus which is the cause of EMS on shrimp farming in Thua Thien Hue province, Vietnam

 Summary: Early Mortality Syndrome (EMS) had the huge damaged in aquaculture, and many kind of solutions were established in oder to constrain disease. Nowaday, using some useful bacterias in oder to rival and inhibit the activities of bateria’s pathogen sources is one of good solutions. This solution is suitable for water environment, keep healthy for human and reduce disease to make high income for farmers. Especially, the providing Bacillus spp. into intestinal system of shrimp have inhibited the increasing Vibrio concentraion in water environment This study indentified Bacillus subtilis B1, Bacillus subtilis B2, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens B4 and try to using these strains to defense against Vibrio parahaemolyticus V1 the main cause of EMS with the concentrations are: 103, 104, 105, 106 CFU/mL after time periods: 6h, 12h, 24h, 48h and 72h.The results showed that all of three Bacillus strain has good inhibits on Vibrio parahaemolyticus V1 developing. Among 3 strains of Bacillus, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens B4 is the best strain for inhibited the develop of Vibrio parahaemolyticus V1, the antibacterial ring size is 52,67 ± 4,31 mm after 48h. The antibacteria ring size of twoBacillus strains remain, Bacillus subtilis B1, Bacillus subtilisB2are 49,67 ± 3,15 mm and 44,07 ± 5,19 mm, respectively(p < 0.05).
