Institute of Biotechnology organized the scientific seminar
On January 17th 2020, the scientific seminar on “Microalgae biomass production and its potential for use in Vietnam” was held in the Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University (HUIB). The scientific seminar was attended by staffs and graduate students of HUIB.
At the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thi Thu Lien introduced about the role and application of microalgae in many fields such as agriculture, industry, fisheries, pharmaceuticals, food and feed…, and production methods of microalgae biomass. Especially, Assoc. Prof. Lien also presented achieved research results on diversity and bioactivities of nostocacean cyanobacteria isolated from paddy soil in Vietnam as well as the pharmaceutical potential of these strains.
Scientists attended the seminar have exchanged, discussed the production methods of microalgae biomass, and the application potential of some beneficial microalgae in research and production.
