Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University participated in the Exhibition of Scientific and Technological Products of the North Central Region 2014
Attending the exhibition were Mr. Tran Quoc Khanh, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology; Mr. Truong Ngoc Hai, Vice President of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology; Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho, Vice Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People’s Committee; Ms. Doan Thi Thanh Huyen, UVTV Provincial Party Committee, Head of Propaganda Department of Thua Thien Hue Provincial Party Committee; leading representatives of units under the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Departments of Science and Technology of the North Central region, research institutes, and exhibitors.
The exhibition is within the framework of the Conference on Science and Technology of the North Central Provinces 2014 held in Hue on August 14 and 15, 2014. Participating in the exhibition are nearly 100 products that have been transferred and applied in the fields of agriculture, forestry and fishery, medicine, environment, electrical engineering… with 20 exhibition booths of the departments of science and technology, organizations and businesses in the region.
Hue University participated in displaying and introducing 32 typical scientific and technological products, selected products with high applicability to economic and social life. In particular, the product group of rapid diagnostic kits for infectious diseases of Assoc.Prof. Dinh Thi Bich Lan (Institute of Biotechnology) has attracted many people’s attention.
The exhibition is an opportunity for organizations, businesses and localities in the North Central region to strengthen their association, cooperation and exchange of experiences; introduce, promote, supply and transfer advanced scientific and technological products; honor scientists who have made many contributions, dedication, creating valuable products for economic development, society, and environmental protection. At the same time, this is also an opportunity to review the results of science and technology activities, as a driving force for science and technology activities in the North Central region in the coming time.
