Conference of Officers and Employees of Institute of Biotechnology in the academic year 2015-2016

On December 25, 2015, the Institute of Biotechnology – Hue University held a meeting of officials and employees for the academic year 2014-2015.
Attending the conference were Dr. Truong Quy Tung, Vice President of Hue University, Director of Institute of Biotechnology, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Truong Thi Bich Phuong representing the Standing Committee of Hue University Trade Union together with the Institute’s leadership and all officers and employees of the Institute.
On behalf of the Institute’s leaders, Dr. Truong Quy Tung reported the summary of the 2014-2015 school year and the Institute’s tasks and directions for the 2015-2016 school year. The Institute currently has 19 working staff, including: 5 officials and 14 labor contracts, including: 02 Assoc. Dr.; 2 Doctorates, 7 Masters, 07 Universities, 1 High School.
In the academic year 2014-2015, the Institute has accepted 02 state-level independent projects, 01 Hue University-level project. Through the project, a number of scientific and technological products have been created (KIT to diagnose some infectious diseases, new generation vaccines by recombinant protein technology, a number of specific antibodies used in the diagnosis of infectious diseases) and disease prevention and treatment, suspension cells, enzymes) can be transferred or applied in practice, besides, the Institute is implementing 01 provincial project, 01 ministerial-level project and 05 Hue University-level projects, 02 Institute-level projects. Author and co-author of 11 international articles, 16 domestic articles and 02 nucleotide sequences on GenBank, published 3 textbooks and 1 monograph.
At the conference, Assoc.Prof. Truong Thi Bich Phuong gave comments, profound guidance and encouragement to the staff and employees of the Institute to overcome the difficult period to complete the tasks of the school year 2015-2016.
