Introduction
EDUBIOFARM is an experiential and career-oriented program that combines education and fun with the theme of biotechnology and its application to organic agriculture. The program is aimed at preschool age, elementary school students, junior high school students, high school students, students and other subjects organized by the Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University (Institute). The program was held at the head office with a total area of 3.9 hectares located at Nguyen Dinh Tu Street (former Provincial Road 10), Phu Thuong Ward, Hue City, Thua Thien Hue Province. With a location near the center, the campus is spacious, very convenient for experiencing and transporting students to participate in the program.
Who can join EDUBIOFARM?
EDUBIOFARM welcomes all ages from preschool, elementary school, middle school, high school, to students and trainees. Programs are designed for different ages.
What can you experience here?
Here you will be able to both learn and have fun through activities such as visiting leafy vegetable gardens, fruit orchards, flower gardens, medicinal plants, learning and practicing multiplication methods. Breeding crops, growing crops, harvesting and packing seasonal fruits and vegetables, taking care of animals. In addition, the program also focuses on directing students to their passion for scientific research through the introduction of laboratories, the functions of machines and equipment for research in biotechnology; or experience experimental methods related to biotechnology and the application of biotechnology research to organic agricultural production.
Programs for the following age groups
1. Program “BABY VISIT THE GARDEN”: For preschool age
Objective: Help children familiarize themselves with agriculture, agricultural products as well as visual awareness about plants and animals.
Time: from Monday to Sunday
Duration: 1 session (from 8am to 11am or 2pm to 5pm)
Active content:
a) Visiting the Museum of Biotechnology Tools and Organic Agriculture and visiting scientific and technological products
b) Visiting orchards, vegetable gardens and flower gardens
c) Visiting an animal model
d) Caring for and harvesting agricultural products

2. The program “I PRACTICE BEING A FARMER”: For elementary school students
Objective: Help children have more practical knowledge about agricultural production, the concept of organic agriculture. Visual perception of agricultural tools, machines, and products.
Time: from Monday to Sunday
Duration: 1 session (from 8am to 11am or 2pm to 5pm)
Active content:
a) Visiting the Museum of Biotechnology Tools and Organic Agriculture, visiting scientific and technological products
b) Visiting orchards, vegetable gardens and flower gardens
c) Visiting the rabbit cage model and feeding the rabbits with grass
d) Plant propagation, harvesting and product packaging

3. Program “I TRY TO BE A SCIENTIST ”: For junior high school students
Objective: To help young people access knowledge about Biotechnology, organic agriculture; familiarize yourself with scientific research in the laboratory; Experience the methods of breeding and growing plants.
Time: from Monday to Sunday
Duration: 1 session (from 8am to 11am or 2pm to 5pm)
Active content:
a) Introduction to the field of research, visiting the Museum of Biotechnology Tools and Organic Agriculture, visiting scientific and technological products
b) Visiting laboratories
c) Learn and practice techniques of propagating and growing vegetables, fruits and medicinal plants
d) Harvesting and packing the products

4. Program “I am a Scientist”: For high school students
Objective: To help young people learn the knowledge of biotechnology and its application to organic agriculture, familiarize them with scientific research and practice in the laboratory.
Time: from Monday to Sunday
Duration: 1 session (from 8am to 11am or 2pm to 5pm)
Active content:
a) Introduction of scientific and technological research fields of the Institute
b) Visiting laboratories and testing areas
c) Introduction of knowledge and practical skills in some areas of biotechnology
d) Professional practice in the laboratory

5. Program “Junior Scientist”: For students, trainees
Objective: To help students access research directions and achievements in the field of Biotechnology and apply to organic agricultural production at the Institute and update domestic and international research.
Time: from Monday to Sunday
Duration: 1 session (from 8 am to 10:30 am or 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm)
Active content:
a) Introduction to the Institute, research directions and scientific and technological products
b) Visiting the laboratory, learning the function of the machines and equipment for research on biotechnology, visiting the experimental areas

Advantages of the program
With a space away from the city’s smog, along with practical farming and science experiences, students will understand the value of life, food and environmental protection. In addition, these hands-on experiences help them better relate to and understand the knowledge in textbooks, which are heavily theoretical, thereby having more motivation and interest in learning.
How organizations
– Depending on the actual number of participants, students are divided into groups, up to 4 groups, each group has a maximum of 80 students.
– Group 1 (Dark green); Group 2 (Red); Group 3 (Gold); Group 4 (Green).
– Each group has 1-2 teachers from the school in charge, holding a flag with the name of the group to orient the students of that group to follow.
– The groups start at the same time, alternately work on the contents, the contents are guided by the instructors of the Institute.

– For the program organized for preschool, elementary, middle and high school ages (4 contents/1 session): charge 80,000 VND/child/student
– For the program organized for students and trainees (2 content/1 session): charge 40,000 VND/student
