On the occasion the Day of Science and Technology in Vietnam (May 18th<\/sup>), the scientific seminar entitled \u201cAnalysis of nitrogen fixation and transport in soybean (Glycine max (l.) Merr.) using nitrogen radioisotope as tracer\u201d<\/em><\/strong> was held on May 17th<\/sup>, 2019 at the Institute of \u00a0Biotechnology, Hue University (HUIB). The scientific seminar was attended by HUIB\u2019s staffs.<\/p>\n

At the seminar, Dr. Nguyen Van Phi Hung presented results on using nitrogen radioisotope as tracer to study the nitrogen fixation and transport in soybean, including:<\/p>\n

– Analyze the transportation of fixed [13<\/sup>N]N2 <\/sub>after being synthesis.<\/p>\n

– The effects of environmental factors on nitrogen fixation in soybean.<\/p>\n

After listening to the report, the scientists attending the seminar highly appreciated results achieved of Dr. Hung\u2019s research team. This is an insight study to determine the transport mechanism of [13<\/sup>N]N2<\/sub> and evaluation the effects of low partial pressure of O2<\/sub> on nitrogen fixation in soybean.<\/p>\n

Scientists discussed about this topic to clarify the research results (methodology, potential applications for agricultural development\u2026) as well as research interests in future.<\/p>\n
