On December 29th<\/sup> 2018, The Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University (HUIB) organized the Scientific Committee to evaluate the Provincial research project \u201cDevelopment the production process of silic Skeletonema costatum <\/em>biomass in Thua Thien Hue province\u201d, code: TTH.2016-KC.05.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Scientific Committee was established based on the Decision No. 276\/Q\u0110-VCNSH on December 24th<\/sup> 2018 of the Director of the HUIB. The meeting was also attended by representative of Department of Science and Technology of Thua Thien Hue province.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the meeting, on behalf of the research team, Prof. Nguyen Thi Thu Lien presented of the process, and key results of the project, such as: isolation thirty S. costatum<\/em>; selection fifteen algal strains of high quality and good yield; development of S. costatum<\/em> biomass in in vitro<\/em> and in vivo<\/em>; determination of the harvest conditions and S. costatum<\/em> biomass preservation; successfully building a pilot model of using S. costatum<\/em> biomass as feed for Penaeus monodon<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Members of the scientific evaluation committee appreciated the results of project, supplemented and commented on some modification and correction on the contents of research project.<\/span><\/p>\n

On behalf of scientific evaluation committee, Prof. Truong Thi Hong Hai agreed with the comments and assessments of the reviewers and members of the Scientific Committed, appreciated the research results of the project, efforts and dedication of the research team. Prof. Hai also suggested that the research team should correct the final report based on Scientific Committed members\u2019 comments and suggestions, submit project documents to the Department of Science and Technology of Thua Thien Hue province on time as well as continue to improve products for application in the field.<\/span><\/p>\n
