On November 17th<\/sup>, the Awarding ceremony of the 9th Science and Technology Innovation Awards in 2018 was organized at Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University.<\/p>\n

The awards aim to honor and encourage the study in scientific and technological as well as apply the achievements into production and life that contribute to the socio-economic development in the province and country. The Awards have also selected the most innovative sciences and technologies to participate in Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Awards in 2018.<\/p>\n

The 2018 awards are consisted 7 following areas: Information technology, Electronics and telecommunications; Mechanical and automation; Applied biology and medicine for production and life; Material technology; Technology in against climate change; Environmental and resources; energy-saving and new energy-using technologies; and social sciences and humanities.<\/p>\n

This year, the Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University has won 2 prizes in section of Applied Biology and Medicine for production and life:<\/p>\n

+ Dr. Nguyen Duc Huy and collaborators with the research: \u201cIdentification manganese peroxidase production fungi from Thua Thien Hue<\/em>\u201d, won the third prize and was selected to participate in Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award 2018.<\/p>\n

+ MSc. Nguyen Van Khanh and collaborators with the research: \u201cDevelopment the cultivation and processing procedures of Spirulina platensis as supplementary food<\/em>\u201d won the consolation prize.<\/p>\n
